Italian Cooking Course

Learning Italian will nourish the mind but our food nourishes the soul. Experience the regional cuisine of Calabria and do both!

Italian Cooking Course Discover some of the secrets of Calabrian cooking using ingredients unique to this beautiful Italian seaside locale. The Piccola Università Italiana provides this one-of-a-kind opportunity to its students by offering once a week Calabrian cooking lessons in small groups of 4-6 participants. Cooking lessons take place in a private home allowing students, not only the enjoyment of sampling the “fruits” of their labour, but also the friendly, warm atmosphere of a typical Calabrian family. Students are actively involved in the preparation of a dinner and are made privy to some of the secrets and recipes characteristic of the region. The regional cooking of Calabria has remained true to its roots and traditions and is considered one of the most diverse cuisines in Italy, making use of an abundance of fresh seafood and locally grown produce. The ingredients are particularly appealing to vegetarians who regularly participate in our cooking courses.
