Professional Italian language classes

How are the courses organized?

The Piccola Università Italiana offers professional organized Italian language courses since 1993.

Thanks to the years of experience and passion and the continuous improvement you will find high Italian language quality courses that will fit for beginners or advanced levels as well as for professionals. We are very proud that our courses are officially authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.

The courses are following a structured program which divides the classes into five different levels. These levels are subdivided in other five levels plus one level for the final improvement. To assure effective classes, the number of students is limited to 3-6 students per class. The lessons in such a small group guaranty that you will never feel lost a numerous, chaotic class.

Upon arrival all students will do a written and oral placement test to assess their level of proficiency. The written test takes max. 30 minutes and after the written test each student will do a short oral test. According to the results of the test each student will be placed in a course with its appropriate level.

The school has 11 classrooms and three terraces as well as a cinema room and an internet room. A small multimedia library offers further possibilities for the students to continue their study after class.

The courses are held completely in Italian (direct method). We apply the direct method in order to offer our students the best possibility to practise oral comprehension and to develop the students' linguistic sensibility. Our teachers are well-prepared and motivated native speaker with a University degree and years of experience in teaching Italian to foreigners.

Even extreme beginners without any knowledge of the Italian language can start a course any time during the year. Professionals can book also special courses like Italian for the hotel and tourism industry, business Italian, as well as art, literature and history courses. It’s also possible to book preparation courses for the CILS or IT examination.

The courses are designed for students of all ages and nationalities who want to learn, study and explore the Italian language and culture.
